The Blockchain Center of Catalonia is a center of technological excellence that aims to promote the adoption of digital assets and decentralized technologies in Catalonia.
CBCat has its headquarters in Girona, and currently has sub-headquarters in Barcelona, Vic and Badalona.
The main mission of CBCat is the dissemination of blockchain technology so that it is welcomed by Catalan companies as one of the innovations that can give rise to new business models that provide differential added value in a highly competitive world.

The CBCat is structured around different sub-headquarters, called nodes, specialized in various sectors, and distributed throughout Catalonia.
Each of these nodes is composed of an Observatory, in charge of tracking and studying the latest developments in the sector in the field of blockchain, as well as establishing connections and international relations with other entities and institutions in the industry.
They also have a Espai Llavor, with the aim of promoting new territorial projects, retaining talent, and applying and landing the projects detected by the Observatory.
In addition, each node has a singular and unique project, of common interest for the specific sector and for the whole country.
